Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy

Reconnect with Your True Self

Heal from the Inside Out

You’re doing your best to hold it together, but inside it can feel like a constant battle. One moment you’re calm, the next you’re overwhelmed. Maybe you’re tired of second-guessing yourself, always putting others first, or feeling like no one truly sees what you’re carrying. You might be wondering, Why do I keep ending up in the same patterns? or Why can’t I just move on? If parts of you feel stuck, scared, angry, or ashamed—and you’re not sure how to make peace with all of it—you’re not alone. There’s a way to understand what’s happening inside and begin to feel more whole.

What Is Internal Family Systems (IFS)?

Have you ever felt like there are different parts of you pulling in opposite directions? One part wants to speak up, but another is afraid of being judged. Or does one part of you want to rest, while another says, “Keep going, or you’ll disappoint everyone”?

Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy helps you understand those parts of yourself—with kindness, compassion, not shame.

Instead of seeing yourself as “the problem” or trying to get rid of thoughts and feelings, IFS helps you get to know the different sides of yourself that are trying to protect you, help you cope, or keep you safe—especially when life has been painful or overwhelming.

At the heart of IFS is this belief: You are not broken.
There’s a wise, calm, compassionate part of you, your core Self, that can help you heal, grow, and make choices that feel true to who you are.

In IFS therapy, we slow down and gently listen to what’s happening inside. Over time, you’ll learn to care for and pay attention to the parts of yourself that are hurting or trying to manage things. You’ll also rediscover parts of yourself that may have been pushed down—like creativity, confidence, joy, or hope.

This approach is not about quick fixes. It’s about building a deeper, more trusting relationship with yourself where all of you feel heard, understood, and supported.

What IFS Can Help You Do:

What to Expect in Sessions

In our sessions, we’ll slow things down and create space to listen to what’s happening inside you. You won’t be expected to have all the answers or fix anything immediately. This work is gentle and collaborative. We’ll get curious together about your thoughts, feelings, or reactions and begin to understand why they’re there. I’ll guide you, but you’re always in the lead. Most clients meet with me once a week, and we go at a pace that feels right for you. You don’t have to share anything you’re not ready to. Over time, many people feel more connected to themselves and more confident in handling life’s challenges.
